About the event

Sainte Marie Among the Hurons' free online program offers an opportunity to learn from Indigenous speakers in the spirit of education and awareness about the pathway to Truth and Reconciliation. The program includes:

  • an overview of the Residential School System from the Legacy of Hope Foundation
  • a conversation with  Michelle Good, lawyer and author of Five Little Indians
  • an introduction to allyship by local leader Cynthia Wesley-Esquimaux

Sainte Marie Among the Hurons will also be running their regular Indigenous programming throughout the entirety of Indigenous Art & Culture Awareness Week and beyond, with a free event on September 30, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Please consider stopping by!
