In this conversation, based on her book Becoming Kin: An Indigenous Call to Unforgetting the Past and Reimagining Our Future, Patty Krawec takes us on a journey through history, using her own life and Anishinaabe teachings to connect the past with the present so that we can build better relationships and a just future. Saint-Marie-Among-The-Hurons
Regular Weekly Indigenous Programming
Sainte-Marie among the Hurons offers opportunities to learn about Indigenous history and culture every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Download an audio tour and enjoy a self-guided exploration of the historic mission village in the heart of the Huron-Wendat territory. Connect with costumed historical interpreters. Sit by the fire and take in the atmosphere of historic longhouses and wigwams, while learning about this unique story of two cultures. Cost for admission (tax included) to Sainte-Marie is $12 for adults or $10 for seniors, youth, and students. Children five and under are free. Boat Trip to Beausoleil Islands National Park Historic Site
As part of the Indigenous Art and Culture Awareness Week, Georgian Bay Islands National Park is providing an Indigenous-Guided Hike to Beausoleil Islands National Park Historic Site. Come and participate in an educational cultural experience with Indigenous Staff Member Shawn Corbiere.
Three round trips during the week from Midland Town Harbour, with limited 12 persons per trip. First come. First Served.

Huronia Museum
Flint Knapping with Shawn Corbiere - WAITING LIST ONLY
Grab the family and join us at the museum for an evening, with Shawn Corbiere from M'Chigeeng First Nation, to learn about the tools and basic techniques for making stone arrowheads with flint knapping. It promises to be a fun night for everyone to learn and ask questions.

Join local Indigenous artist Paul Whittam for an evening of storytelling and painting. Participants create their own original painting inspired by an evening of storytelling.
