The Culture Alliance, in partnership with the York Region Arts Council, is pleased to announce that it has rescheduled the Artrepreneur program for 202 and the first class will be held on Tuesday March 7th. It is time to turn your creative passion into a business!
Artrepreneur is a unique business skills development program keeping the needs of the "creative" entrepreneur in mind. Creative Artrepreneurs include entrepreneurs in all art disciplines as well as those working at the intersection of art, technology, and innovation, including but not limited to: Performance Arts, Visual and Media Arts (including Film/Video), Dance, Music, Multidisciplinary, Craft, Theatre & Literature.
In order to qualify for the program, participants must actively practice or operate as an independent artist (full- or part-time), be a leader of an arts group/non-profit organization, or the founder/owner of a creative business.
If you are looking for a way to grow your passion into a business or take your organization to the next level in 2023, look no further than the Artrepreneur program being run in Midland, Ontario. This core program consists of 12 in-class weekly 3-hour workshops delivered by experts in the business and arts fields. It includes topics to grow your business including branding and marketing, finance, goal setting, social media, how to look for revenue streams and partnerships, mastering presentations, and information to better understand operational and legal obligations, all while working toward the completion of your business plan.
Once the core programming is wrapped up, we will help you develop your "elevator pitch" to sell your business to investors, peers, friends, community members, and potential customers. You will be able to deliver your presentation in real time at the EXPO which is part of your graduation ceremony held on the evening of Thursday June 29th at the North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre.
Artrepreneur is striving to be Ontario's leading business development accelerator for creative entrepreneurs. The Culture Alliance is proud to be part of this initiative and to deliver this program in North Simcoe.
